The ABS should be mounted in a clear visible position facing to the rear. e.g. the rear mount boarding bar.
Route the wiring to the appropriate areas, Red positive and Black negative wires to the battery (red+ black-) and connect (1 amp in line fuse is recommended). The orange RPM Sensor wire to an ignition lead/coil-pack.
RPM Pickup sensor wire placement will depend on your PWC.
• If you have a traditional Ignition Lead, then simply zip tie the orange sense wire to any one of the ignition leads.
• If you have a Coil-Pack ignition system, remove any one of the coil packs. Slide the orange wire between the rubber seal and shaft as shown.
Make sure that all cabling is secured to avoid fouling any moving parts using zip ties provided.
Calibrating the ABS Brakelight using the MagKey.
For best performance, it is recommended to calibrate in water.
• Start the PWC and allow to idle
• Ensure that the red RPM sense LED is off , if not, check placement of orange sensor wire.
• Hold the MagKey over the centre of the brakelight for 5 seconds (Observing the red MagKey Active LED)
• Auto calibration is complete with the main Brakelight LED Cluster becomes Constantly Lit.
• Remove MagKey.
• The brakelight is now successfully calibrated to your PWC idle speed and should fl ash for 20 seconds, normal operation has commenced.
To Enable/Disable SOS Mode
• Ensure the engine is Stopped
• Hold the MagKey over the centre of the brakelight for 5 seconds (Observing the red MagKey Active LED)
• The brakelight will very briefl y fl ash and then remain OFF.
• Removing the MagKey will then enable SOS mode to fl ash the brakelight cluster in Morse code, SOS (...---...) and repeat.
• To disable SOS mode repeat step above.
SOS mode will automatically be cancelled if the user tries to start the engine. This is to ensure incorrect SOS display
cannot occur during normal PWC operation. SOS mode will also override the 2-minute auto power off feature and continue to
flash SOS as long as battery supply is capable.
“I fitted Aqualuma’s Brake Light System to my 2006 Sea Doo and am really thrilled with its reliability and ability to act as a warning device to my friends following me when out on the water. From my experience with Aqualuma’s Brake Light System, in my opinion it should become a mandatory feature on PWCs in the future.”
